Internet marketing, also known as online marketing or Emarketing, is the marketing of offerings or services over the Internet. Internet marketing ties collectively with creative and technical parts of the Web , including design, development, advertising and eventually sales. Internet marketing, as of 2007, is increasing a lot faster than other types of media. Internet marketing refers to the placement of media along different stages of the Customer engagement Cycle, through Search Engine Placements, Search Engine Optimization, Banner Ads on specific sites, email marketing and Web 2.0. An Internet marketing strategy includes all aspects of online activity that will promote a company online, including websites, blog sites, article and press releases, online market research, email marketing, and advertising, as appropriate for the promotion of ones' company.

The most important reason is that the internet marketplace is appreciating in both size and scope. Every day there is a perfect large amount of of people who do this shopping, and hints gathering before shopping, via the internet.
